Ford Lambert
Trombonist and Educator
Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, Ford Lambert began performing with his brothers at the age of 7. Originally on drums and vocals, Ford picked up the trombone at age 10 and hasn’t put it down. earning a B.A. from LSU in 2021, he moved to New Jersey to earn a master's degree and study with legendary trombonist Conrad Herwig at Rutgers University. Following graduation, he returned home to Abita Springs, Louisiana to perform and teach.
In his short time back he has performed with renowned groups and artists such as the Glenn Miller Orchestra, the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra, John Hebert, Eric Mcpherson, Anjelika “Jelly” Joseph, and Roderick Paulen. Lambert has made appearances at venues and festivals such as: French Quarter Festival, Savannah Music Festival, American Trombone Workshop, New Orleans Jazz Museum, and Chris’ Jazz Cafe.
Lambert currently leads an up and coming group, NO LIMIT BRASS BAND, a high energy brass band featuring many of the best young musicians in New Orleans.
